With great joy, faithful and clergy alike joined in celebrating the ordinations first to the diaconate (Sunday the 29th of May 2022) and then to Presbyter (Monday the 30th May 2022) of the Abbot Fr Prodromos at the Holy Monastery of St John by His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia. His Eminence changed the name of the Abbot to Fr Makarios when he ordained him.

On the following day (31st May 2022), he was given the blessing to be a Confessor and Spiritual Father, and was also given the title of Archimandrite.

May the Lord bless and guide Fr Makario to lead this Monastery and all novices and future monks into a life of repentance for the salvation of all the world.
