This year our Monastery celebrated the life-giving Resurrection of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ with much joy and happiness. Despite the masks, it was such a blessing and a privilege for everyone present to be to able to attend the feast of feasts, the most significant day in the life of the church. Glory to God!
The faithful chanted ‘Christ is risen from the dead, trampling death by death and to those in the tombs bestowing life’ with much enthusiasm in both the English and Greek languages. We celebrated the defeat of death, as neither death itself nor the power of the grave could hold our Saviour captive. In this victory that came through the Cross, Christ broke the bondage of sin and through faith offers us restoration, transformation, and eternal life.
Let us all exclaim overjoyed and humbled by the miracle of miracles that ‘Christ is Risen!’
Χριστός Ανέστη!
